The Kia Soul has been named one of the top back to school vehicles for the 2014-2015 school year. That’s according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com, who released its annual list this week.
The Soul finished No. 2 in the entire industry. KBB is looking for functionality, high MPG, style and overall ratings from the users of Kelley Blue Book. The Soul was recently redesigned, with updated styling, plenty of space and it’s really the perfect size for a college student.
We know most young people are on a budget, so they will appreciate the low lease and buy payments available on an all-new Soul. While they own the model, they will stay away from the pump when you’re getting up to an EPA-estimated 30 MPG on the highway. The Soul is functional though, with ample cargo space, especially when the seats are folded. At that configuration, an entire dorm or apartment’s worth of supplies can fit comfortably on the way from mom and dad’s house back to campus.
Kelley Blue Book users rate the Soul 9.6 on a 10-point scale. The Soul has brought home an entire trophy case worth of awards this year. This summer alone, the Kia Soul won the following awards:
J.D. Power APEAL Award
Coolest Cars under $18K
J.D. Power Initial Quality Awards
AutoTrader’s Must Test Drive Car
Best New Car of 2014
